What is this even about?

I’m a longtime technologist and activist with 10 years in and around mission-driven tech. I’m currently the head of product for NYT Cooking, and previously led teams at Crisis Text Line and Lean In.

My goal for the newsletter is to elevate the discourse on tech and social impact — and share ideas and what I’ve learned to hopefully help other other mission-driven orgs and people. I’ll dive into topics like product, UX, inclusion, data, privacy, community, etc. with an emphasis on ‘actionable insights’ (stuff you can use).

You’ll like this if

  • You’re passionate about ethics and social good in the tech space

  • You’re a product manager, data scientist, or designer

  • You work at a nonprofit, nonprofit startup, or other caused-based organization

  • You’re interested in UX, data, product, strategy, or tech more generally
